Claire Armstrong
Claire graduated in 2016 with a 1st class MChem degree from The University of Liverpool. In summer 2015, Claire completed a RSC analytical summer studentship with Prof. Peter Myers, utilising miniature separation cartridges for the use in analytical separations. This work was then carried on into her 4th year masters project, were the time was spent working towards a miniature HPLC system. Claire joined the Rannard research group in 2016 to study for her PhD, funded by Cancer Research UK. The PhD is focusing mainly on the synthesis and functionalisation of hyper-branched polydendrons and their applicability in nanomedicine for the use in rectal cancer therapy.
Claire successfully defended her thesis in 2021 and joined AstraZeneca at their Macclesfield Site
