Savannah Cassin

Savannah studied Chemistry (MChem) at The University of Liverpool, graduating with a First Class (Hons) degree in 2017. During her degree, she completed an EPRSC funded summer project in the Rannard group, which focused on the synthesis and characterisation of novel hyperbranched polymers via free radical polymerisations. Savannah continued this research for her 4th year MChem project, demonstrating a strategy to produce hyperbranched polymers in a scalable ‘one-pot’ synthesis, with a wide range of reagents and functionalities. In October 2017 Savannah started her PhD in the Rannard group, which is focusing on detailed analysis of the resulting polymer structures from her undergraduate project, in order to gain a deeper understanding of the reaction synthesis and possibilities of this approach commercially
