Maude Le Hellaye
Maude obtained her PhD in Polymer Chemistry in 2006 from the University of Bordeaux-1 (France) within in the Laboratoire de Chimie des Polymères Organiques. She worked on the synthesis of polyester and polyeptide based block copolymers, to build bioresorbable polymer architectures for drug delivery purposes. She worked at the University of New South Wales (Sydney Australia), as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate, in the Centre for Advanced Macromolecular Design, (Jan '07 - Aug '08) preparing polyester based materials for tissue engineering applications. She moved to Endoluminal Sciences, a Sydney based start-up company focusing on the development of new means of fixation/sealing for endografts, used in the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA). Maude joined the Rannard group in February 2012 on a collaborative project with the department of Eye and Vision Science, focusing on the development of new drug delivery systems for the eye. Maude left the group in 2016 to return to France and take a position at the CNRS (Pau).
