Rowan Gandy
Rowan graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2024 with a Chemistry with Research in Industry (MChem) degree. In his third year, Rowan worked for Sika Everbuild where he developed silicone sealant formulations, optimising them for both performance and environmental specifications.
He then completed his masters project within the Rannard group which saw him synthesise novel core-degradable star polymers, synthesised orthogonally through both Atom Transfer Radical Polymerisation (ATRP) and Transfer-dominated Branching Telomerisation (TBRT) techniques. Now a PhD student, Rowan looks to further his research into how TBRT-formed star polymer reactions behave, as well as targeting the synthesis of functional star polymer materials.
