Beth Linthwaite

Beth studied Chemistry with Research in Industry (MChem) at The University of Liverpool, graduating with a First Class (Hons) degree in July 2021. As part of this she completed a 13-month industrial placement at Inovyn, the ChlorVinyls branch of Ineos, working on research and development of polymerisation and process additives for the suspension polymerisation of polyvinyl chloride.

Beth joined the Rannard group in 2020 to complete her 4th year MChem project, studying the impact of chain transfer on branched vinyl telomerisations, a novel polymer technology.  Beth has now returned to the group to start a PhD continuing to study industrial applications of Transfer dominated Branching Radical Telomerisation (TBRT) funded by Scott Bader/Polymer Mimetics.
