Chung graduated with an MChem from the University of Liverpool in 2017. His masters research was conducted with the McDonald group, and focused on synthesising biodegradable nanoparticles to be used in in-situ forming implants. He joined the Rannard group to pursue a PhD specialising in synthesising long-acting antiretroviral drugs for HIV treatment. He is currently working alongside Faye and Anika in his research.
