Faye Hern

Faye graduated from the University of Liverpool with a 1st class MChem degree in 2013. She completed her MChem masters project within the Rannard research group, focussing on the use of pH to trigger the dissassembly of polymeric nanomaterials. Faye has now joined the group to study for a PhD focussing on the use of radiolabelling to monitor the degradation of polymeric nanomaterials. Faye successfully defended her thesis in 2017 after completing an Innovate UK-funded project. She subsequently accepted a postdoctoral role within the group funded by the US NIH to study polymer-based prodrugs for HIV therapeutic implants. She helped Chung Liu and Anika Shakil  to successful PhDs and after left the group in 2022 to take up a position at Bentley Motors (Crewe).
