Jane graduated with a first class MChem degree at the University of Liverpool in 2011. She completed her MChem masters project as part of the Rannard research group, studying the synthesis of dendritic polymers. Jane studied for a PhD involving the synthesis of branched polymeric materials for nanoparticle synthesis and evaluation of their use in novel HIV treatment approaches, in collaboration with Prof Andrew Owen's team, and cancer therapy, in collaboration with dr Neil Kitteringham. She left the group in 2015 and began working with Unilever at Port Sunlight.
