Adam Town
Adam graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2014 with a 1st class masters degree in Chemistry. For his undergraduate project he worked in the Rannard group using controlled radical polymerisation techniques (ATRP and RAFT) to polymerise hydrophobic monomers in protic solvents. Adam has now joined the McDonald group at Liverpool to study for his PhD, collaborating closely with Steve Rannard. His project focuses on nanomedicine drug delivery systems bridging polymer science and pharmacology. He also contributes to the Department of Chemistry through taking a lead role in peer assisted learning for first year undergraduate students, creating a virtual learning environment to aid students assess their understanding of their maths skills and helping to run the University's Chemistry Society.
