Sam studied Chemistry with a Year in Industry, graduating in July 2019 with first class honours. As part of this Sam spent 13 months at Inovyn, the chlorvinyls branch of Ineos, working on the research and development of additives for the suspension polymerisation of vinyl chloride. This work involved both lab and pilot scale studies. Sam joined the Rannard group in October 2019, with his PhD project focusing on investigating new polymerisation routes to (bio)degradable and sustainable polymers.
