Sarah Blackmore

Sarah graduated from the University of Liverpool with a First Class (Hons) MChem degree in 2016.

During her undergraduate studies, she completed several projects in the Rannard group which focused on the synthesis of functional polymers, via controlled radical polymerisation and ring opening polymerisation techniques. Continuing to work in the group, Sarah completed her PhD in 2020 which focused on novel polyester synthesis, via ring opening polymerisation, targeting nanoparticle drug delivery of chemotherapy agents.

Upon completion of her PhD, Sarah stayed in the group as a postdoctoral researcher, investigating agrochemical nanoparticle formulations, for several months before moving to Australia in 2021.She has since returned to the group in 2023 as a postdoctoral researcher to continue work studying industrially relevant agrochemical nanoparticle-based formulations.
