Sarah Lomas
Following a BSc and MSc from the University of Liverpool Sarah joined the University of Bath, completing her PhD under the supervision of Prof. Mike Hill, investigating air-sensitive hydroacetylation catalysis of Group 2 metals.
Sarah went on to work within Unilever’s Home Care category in Port Sunlight formulating and developing laundry liquids for the global market. Her work extended to explore the capabilities of new technologies and assessing their performance when incorporated in laundry products. Moving to Croda, Sarah worked in the Process Development team. Here she was involved in developing the process for the production of products used within the Personal Care industry.
Sarah returned to the University of Liverpool joining the Rannard group in 2018 working in collaboration with industry partners in the development of bespoke polymers before taking up a Postdoctoral Researcher role in 2023 exploring the degradation of hyperbranched polymers via TBRT.
