Steph graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2014 with a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry with a Year in Industry. She undertook her year in industry placement at Reckitt Benckiser (2012-2013) where she worked on innovation for cosmetic emulsion formulations for Veet, Clearasil, and Dettol. For her final year project she worked on the stability of emulsions and their use in hydrophobic drug release. Steph joined the group in 2014 to study for a PhD focussing on nanoemulsions for novel drug delivery. This will include collaboration with Professor Andrew Owen of the Department of Pharmacology, to assess the toxicity in various cells for applications within infectious diseases.
